ZOO GARDEN  OF THESSALONIKI

The Zoo of Thessaloniki hosts the wildlife of our country. It’s located on the Cedar Hill in the region of Thousand Trees from September 1987. The total area is ​​58 acres.

The visitors of the area can enjoy the wild fauna and flora of our country. All the buildings were designed in an enviromentally friendly manner with tiber and stone and relatively spacious area for hosted animals.

Since autumn 1994 operates the Museum of Natural History.
Since autumn 2000 operates the House of Reptiles.

It is organized in 7 units including 22 species of birds and 16 species of other animals including: bears, wolves, foxes, wild boars, Cretan goat, deer, Platykera Deer, Domestic Sheep, Goats Neuter, Ono, Wildcat , coypu, rabbits. The hosted birds includes: : Pelicans, Dalmatian, Lefkopargous, Vouvokyknous, Geese, Prasinokefalopapies, peacocks, guinea fowl, various species of pheasants, parrots, Buffet, Pontikovarvakines, Aetovarvakines, sparrowhawks, Fidaeto, golden eagles, buzzards and Magpie.

LEFKOCHORI

Approximately 50 km from Thessaloniki (From Hotel ASSEMBLY 48 km), is the village Lefkochori. At the village there are many units of agritourism, where children can learn about various animals, make horseback riding, play basketball, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, and also shooting, archering and canoeing.

CENTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM-NOESIS

The main objective of the Center is the popularization of modern knowledge and its dissemination to the public through exhibitions, movies, seminars and lectures.
