SIXTH COURSE FOR THE WINTER

For lovers of winter sports, Assembly Hotel is near the most famous ski resorts in northern Greece. Seli and 3-5 Wells on the slopes of Vermion and Elatochori and Pella, is easily accessible from Thessaloniki and offered for a day winter excursion.

SELI

Seli, the National Ski Center was established in 1934, located at an altitude of 1530 meters and it is the first organized ski center in Greece. It lies 95 km from Thessaloniki and has parking space, many modern lifts, a wide variety of ski sports, playgrounds e.t.c.

3-5 WELLS

The ski center "3-5 Wells" located at an altitude of 1430-2005 meters on the west side of Mount Vermio. It lies 108 km from Thessaloniki and the paved road is always open during the winter. With the system of artificial snow ensures excellent quality of snow throughout the winter season. The 3-5 Wells except from winter sports offers a variety of other activities (climbing, hiking, mountain biking, hang gliding, paragliding).

ELATOCHORI

The ski resort Elatochori located on the east side of Pieria Sera, at an altitude of 800 meters and is located 105 km from Thessaloniki and just 8 km from the traditional village "Elatochori."

KAIMAKTSALAN

The ski center of Pella was named by the name of the mountain that hosts it. The word "Kaimaktsalan" has Turkish roots and means literally the thief of froth, ie the foam. Kaimaktsalan located on Lake Vegoritida near the restored village of St. Athanasius and is located 120 km from Thessaloniki. It has four lifts and artificial snow system.
